Pacific University is immensely proud to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our School of Occupational Therapy.

For four decades, the Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy has been a leader in educating occupational therapists who empower people of all ages to participate fully in the activities of everyday life. Our alumni are the backbone of a profession that helps individuals regain independence, overcome challenges, and live life to their fullest potential.

All members of the Pacific University community are invited to participate as we recognize this tremendous milestone with events and activities spanning three days in Hillsboro and Forest Grove.

Advance registration is required for all events for planning purposes.

Graduating students will present their capstone projects throughout the day. Lunch will be served. Guests are also invited to tour the building at 12:30 p.m. CEU documentation will be provided on request.

Alumni and former employees are welcome to join current faculty and the loved ones of the graduates in the celebration as we welcome the Class of 2024 with a pinning ceremony. Light refreshments will be served on the patio after the ceremony.

Members of the Class of 1994 and friends are invited to celebrate 30 years since graduation. The class will gather for heavy appetizers and drinks and the opportunity to reconnect and reminisce about learning the profession in the lower level of Walter Hall. Classmates are encouraged to bring photos and other ephemera to help inspire memories and celebration will include an opportunity to take a class photo.

Alumni from the Class of 2004 are invited to prepare to share their fondest memories from OT school. As one of the first cohorts to earn a master's degree, the class of 2004 is small but spirited. Classmates and guests are invited to gather for dinner around a table reserved for the class. All are encouraged to bring mementos and photos to help everyone reminisce about the joys and the challenges overcome! The class will also assemble for a 20th reunion group photo after dinner.

The Class of 2014 will celebrate 10 years since graduation with heavy appetizers and drinks. The class will preserve new memories with a group portrait during dinner.

Guests are invited to experience the restorative power of nature with a walk at Fernhill Wetlands. The 20-acre nature area includes a 1.1 mile ADA accessible trail loop trail along the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including native plants, beavers, frogs and coyotes. In addition, Fernhill is widely known as a premier bird-watching and photography destination in Oregon.

Guests are invited to explore local and university history at two Forest Grove museums. The Old Train Station Museum, managed by the Friends of Historic Forest Grove highlights 150 years of local history. Old College Hall holds artifacts documenting the 175 years of Pacific University History. Old College Hall visitors will be invited to ring the school bell to celebrate 40 years!
